La Liga giants, Real Madrid, are ready to dole out €25 million to add Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold to the fold this January.

The 26-year-old right-back is the top target for Los Blancos to reinforce the defensive line and they have been laying the groundwork to sign him on a free transfer in the summer of 2025 for months now

Liverpool, for their part, are said to be aware that their homegrown player is unlikely to stay beyond June 30, having rejected multiple contract renewal proposals already.

In fact, the report even claims that Alexander-Arnold has even informed the Reds’ management a few weeks ago that he intends to join Real Madrid when his contract runs out.

As such, the ball is now in Liverpool’s court and they must decide whether to lose one of their greatest assets for free in the summer or recoup some cash in January, with Real Madrid willing to offer around €20-25 million.

Meanwhile France international and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has vowed to increase his fighting spirit this year. The World Cup winner who joined Carlo Ancelotti’s squad from Paris Saint-Germain has made some impact netting 12 goals in his first season with the club.

He elaborated on the expectations that come with wearing the iconic white jersey, underscoring the importance of contributing to the club’s illustrious legacy.
