Former Manchester United midfielder and interim coach Michael Carrick has left his role as the first team manager of the club.

 

Carrick made the decision to leave the club immediately his team edged Arsenal 3-2 in a very tough and engaging Premier League game on Thursday night.

 

United tweeted the following message about him.

 

 

“A player, A coach, A manager.

 

” But above all else, a genuine Manchester United legend.”

 

“Thank you, Michael.

Captain Harry Maguire revealed in a post match interview that the United players were informed by Carrick in the dressing ro after the win over Arsenal.

 

Ralf Rangnick who watched the match against Arsenal from the stands will resume his new duty immediately.
