Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC, Nkwachukwu Orji, disclosed this in a session with the media.

Orji said the material hijacking and snatching was experienced in Nnewi and Oba 1 & 2.

Orji also stated that the election started late in some places because some of the motorists with whom the commission made arrangements with to pick up and get those election materials to the different polling units, failed to show up as planned.

This singular action of the motorists he noted caused a major setback for the commission, leading to the delay in commencing accreditation and voting in some polling units.

Orji in company of other INEC officials addressed the media Saturday evening and insisted that the election will continue until the as persons on the queues have cast their ballots.
