Nigerian socialite and Business mogul, Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has gone philosophical after underscoring the vanities of accumulating wealth without creating time to enjoy it.
Cubana who stopped short of quoting the book of Ecclesiastes 1-12, which speaks about vanity upon vanity and queries the gain of man from all his toil, noted that most times accumulated wealth ends up being squandered by those for whom it has been accumulated.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelHe claimed that the properties rich men leave for their children sometimes get squandered after their deaths even as he advised people not to spend all their lives acquiring wealth without creating time to enjoy it.
He also pointed out that the children of rich men are now serving the children of poor men who are now rich themselves, describing it as cycle of life.

Speaking via Instagram, he wrote, “Read with an open mind….
“Today the children of yesterday’s rich are serving the children of yesterday’s poor…..
“The poor men’s children of yesterdays are busy buying out the properties of rich men of yesterdays, from the children they acquired and left those properties for! It’s the cycle of life!!!
“Funny enough, most of the rich NEVER enjoyed the luxury of the wealth they were busy acquiring while alive!
“Our people have a saying ‘ọlu ụnọ na-amuta ole ụnọ’ Translated ‘the builder/acquiring man gives birth to a seller-son…..’
“Last line: While you toil and work very hard to acquire, make out time to enjoy the proceeds of your hard work!
“Most importantly, may your acquired wealth be beneficial to mankind, and not a source of pain and oppression….…
“Time is ticking, and nothing lasts forever……SELAH!”
Obi Cubana can best be described as walking the talk in this regard as the social media is never short of pictures and videos where he has created time to chill out with his wife, family and friends.

It is no longer news that some children of the rich end up in court in fight to the finish over properties that have been left for them.
The solution most times has always been to sell the properties and share the proceeds to avoid suicide and murder associated with such fight to the finish encounters.
