Fans Overwhelm Joke Silva Over Olu Jacobs’ Birthday

Thursday 11th July 2024, the 82nd birthday of Veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, may have come and gone but goodwill messages pouring in from left, right and centre has thrilled the wife Joke Silva.

Taking to her Instagram page, Joke Silva, who is equally a veteran of the industry, expressed delight at the outpouring of love for her husband coming from Nigerians from far and near.

She revealed that over 4,000 messages have been received and still counting. She did not only pray and appreciate the teeming fans for their outpouring of love for the husband and the family but also committed their lives into the hands of God, while underscoring the promises of God in the book of Deuteronomy 1:11.

On her Instagram page, Joke Silva conveyed their appreciation, saying: “You fans, family and friends of Sir J…Mr Oludotun Bayeiwu Jacobs (MFR) @_olujacobs know how to love on him shaaa…Wow…over 4,000 messages and still counting!!!! How does one say thank you in such a way that it is commensurate to the gift for which one is appreciative? In a broken world, reaching out with compassion, appreciation and joy …wishing people well …confirms that our shared humanity is not lost, adding “May the Lord, the God of our ancestors, increase each and everyone a thousand times and bless you as He has promised (Deut 1:11).

“On behalf of the Jacobs clan, thank you and a resounding AMEN to all the prayers.”

Joke Silva and Olu Jacobs whose marriage has  been cited in many quarters as an example for others to emulate, met in 1981 at the National Theatre, Lagos during the 21st Independence anniversary and the sweet story began and the rest like they say is now history.
