Nigeria’s  music sensation, Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, has responded to music mogul Don Jazzy after Mavin’s artist Ladipoe took a swipe at him.

Ladipoe, a rapper under Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, recently poked fun at Wizkid for his controversial remark claiming that “hip hop is dead.”

In a tweet via X, Ladipoe said, “Nigerian rappers who weathered the storm of ‘hip hop is dead’ are now witnessing Afrobeat artists face their own hurdles.”

A fan brought this snide remark to Wizkid’s notice on Monday morning. Responding with a terse yet pointed comment, the Starboy boss stated, “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”

Further adding fuel to the fire, Wizkid retweeted two posts insinuating that his remark was directed towards Don Jazzy, portraying him as merely a social media influencer.
