Nigerian Military Launches Three Operations To Battle Insecurity

Nigerian Army has commenced three exercises nationwide code-named “Golden Dawn”, “Enduring Peace” and “Still Water”, aimed at curbing the growing rate of crime in the country.

The Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, would flag off all the exercises soon.

Nwachukwu who explained that the operations were designed to effectively check all forms of criminality and allow for free movement of persons during the Yuletide, urged residents not to panic on sighting movement of troops and equipment.
