Bobrisky Pleads Guilty To Naira Abuse, Convicted On Four Charges

Bobrisky, also known as Idris Okuneye, admitted guilt to four charges, including naira abuse and money laundering, at a Lagos court. Initially facing six charges, two were dropped after discussions between parties.

The Federal High Court in Lagos convicted Bobrisky for abusing the Naira, with Justice Abimbola Awogboro presiding over the case. Bobrisky expressed remorse, stating he wasn’t aware of the law on currency abuse. He pleaded for a second chance to educate his social media followers, expressing regret for his actions.

Bobrisky, a self-proclaimed “Mummy of Lagos,” was arraigned on four counts of naira abuse by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. His guilty plea marked a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings.

He said, “I know, My Lord. My Lord, I wish that you could give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money. “I would do a video on my page and I will educate people about spraying money. “I will not repeat it again. I regret my actions.”

Earlier, Bobrisky was arraigned on four counts of naira abuse preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The cross-dresser who refers to himself as “Mummy of Lagos” pleaded guilty to the charges.
