Premier League clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal are also said to be interested in the Nigerian who scored a goal at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire where Nigeria were losing finalists to the hosts.

Prior to the start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Osimhen indicated that he has already known where he intends to play next season.

The Nigerian signed a new contract at SS Napoli but the club president, Aurelio de Laurentiis admitted that clubs are likely to bid for the club’s prized jewel with a buyout clause of $130m inserted into his new deal.

Mbappe spoke to the French Billionaires on Thursday about his plans to leave on a free transfer and is set to lose the bonus payment pledged to him if he further extended his contract which is set to expire in the summer of 2025.

The summer transfer window will officially open on July 1, 2024 albeit some clubs are currently able to seal pre contract agreements with players whose deals are expected to wind down on June 30.
