The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) responded to the situation immediately, sending firefighters and rescue personnel. However, there were no reported casualties or deaths.

Prime Business Africa reports that this is coming after the November incident in which the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, also escaped death as the plane he was on board crash-landed at the same airport.
