The approved times also concern all Cote d’Ivoire matches throughout the national territory.

Thus according to the release, the banks of the Plateau will open in the mornings from 8 a.m to close at 1 p.m. for matches at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium.

“For operations outside these hours, populations will be directed to other agencies in the Autonomous District of Abidjan.”

“This redevelopment was decided following the traffic plan during the AFCON period which could disrupt activities in the Plateau area of Abidjan.

Meanwhile Cote d’Ivoire have announced a ban on children, especially infants, from attending matches at the stadiums during the tournament.

The step is one of the security precautions taken to guarantee the safety of children throughout the duration of the 34th edition of the African ‘mundial’ which was pushed back to this year from 2023 as the country intensified efforts to host a great showpiece.
