Tunisia will be without Manchester United’s promising youngster Hannibal Mejbri at the African Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire as the midfielder decided he was not ready to be in the squad, manager Jalel Kadri has disclosed.

The 20-year-old Mejbri made the decision to skip next month’s tournament amid media speculation that he is close to securing a loan move away from Old Trafford.

While a young player is not in the final squad due to the pressing need of a contract, the Carthage Eagles will also have to make do without some established members of the squad.

Midifelder Ferjani Sassi and full back Mohamed Drager are missing from the final squad but Sheffield United’s Anis Ben Slimane is making a return to the cold after sond time away form the team.
