Comedian Buchi Announces Full Custodial Access To His Children

Nigerian comedian Onyebuchi “Buchi” Ojieh has announced that he has finally secured full access to his children after a challenging custody battle with his former in-laws.

Taking to his Instagram page on Monday, December 4, 2023, Buchi shared the joyous news along with new pictures, expressing his gratitude to fans and supporters who stood by him during this trying period.

“I have been granted full access to my kids… we’re better in all things… THANK YOU EVERYONE! The good, the bad, the ugly… Thank you, the SALAMIS, Mama Azmin… Engr ISEDE #1 grandpa,” he joyfully proclaimed.

This development follows Buchi’s public outcry last month against his ex-wife, Rukky’s parents, accusing them of denying him access to his children who were in their custody in the United States of America.

Buchi revealed the stringent conditions imposed, including limited communication, initially set at twice a week, which eventually dwindled to just a voice note.

The comedian further disclosed that he could only speak to his children when his estranged in-laws initiated the calls, alleging that he was blocked afterward to prevent any follow-up communication.

Despite meeting the demand of $300,000 monthly child support, Buchi lamented that access to his children remained elusive.

Throughout the past weeks, Buchi continued to share updates on the situation via social media. Since the recent announcement of his victory in the custody battle, an outpouring of congratulatory messages and support has flooded in from friends, fans, and fellow public figures, including popular OAP Dotun, who is navigating his own child custody battle with ex-wife Taiwo Oyebanjo.
