Former CBN Deputy Governor, Dr Obadiah Mailafia Passes Away

FORMER Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr Obadiah Mailafia has passed away.
Dr Mailafia who hailed from Southern Kaduna, was a social and political rights activist.
He reportedly died at National Hopsital, Abuja on Sunday September 19, after a brief illness at the age of 64.
He was Deputy Governor of CBN between 2005 and 2007.
He was also Chief of Staff to the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) organization based in Brussels, Belgium.

In 2019, Mailafia contested for position of President under the platform of African Democratic Congress (ADC).
