Former Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Melvin Pinnick is seeking legal action against Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke (Davido) over contractual breach after failing to attend a paid event.

Davido was billed to perform at the ‘Warri Again’ concert in Delta State but reportedly failed to show up despite being paid upfront and a private jet booked for his trip.

On October 6, the concert honouring performers from the Niger Delta region was organized by Pinnick and it featured stars like AY Makun, Fireboy, DML, Pheelz, Spyro and Destalker.

Prime Business Africa gathered from a post made by ace photojournalist, OgaNla Media on X (formerly Twitter) that Pinnick’s legal team are poised to sue the ‘Unavailable’ crooner the sum of N2.3 billion after huge damages incurred by the FIFA Executive Committee member.

“Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick sues Davido, demands N2.3b over alleged breach of contract,” the post read.

Davido had commented last month to Amaju Pinnick calling him out by posting the following in social media.

“NOBODY CAN STOP ME FROM PERFORMING-ANYWHERE IN NIGERIA … WARRI I WILL SEE YOU Soon.”

“Throwing stones but u Dey live for glass house. Make I no talk on the official logo of the NFF.”

The details of the contract are unknown at press time.
