At NigComSat, Nkechi Egerton-Idehen takes the reins from Tukur Mohammed Lawal Funtua as the new MD/CEO, while Tola Odeyemi steps in as the Postmaster General/CEO of NIPOST, succeeding Sunday Adepoju.

The Presidency emphasized that these changes take immediately effect.

Notably, some leaders retained their positions amid this transformation, with Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi remaining as DG/CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and Dr. Vincent Olatunji continuing as the National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

President Tinubu also appointed Idris Alubankudi as the Special Adviser to the President on Technology and Digital Economy, underscoring the government’s commitment to leveraging Nigeria’s technological and digital capabilities for economic growth.

The removal of Prof Umar Danbatta from NCC came as a surprise, especially considering his reappointment in 2020 for a second five-year term.
