28 Year-old Kidnap Suspect Arrested In Nassarawa

Nassarawa State Police have arrested a 28 year-old kidnap suspect named Abubakar Mohammed.
Mohammed who is of Wamba road in Akwanga LGA of the state, was arrested on Sunday by Police operatives attached to Akwanga Area Command.
Confirming the arrest, the Command spokesperson, ASP Rahman Nansel said, on 5/9/2021 at about 0130hrs, while acting on credible intelligence, the suspect was arrested and upon interrogation, he confessed to being a member of a five Man gang of kidnappers, terrorizing Barkin Ladi area of Plateau State but relocated to Wamba road, Akwanga LGA, Nasarawa State after two of his gang members were neutralized by security operatives during a fierce gun duel in Plateau State.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi has ordered that the case be transferred to anti-kidnapping unit of the Command for thorough investigation and commended the officers for a job well done.
He warned all criminals to flee Nasarawa State or meet their waterloo.
