The victims, a woman in her 30s and a man in his 50s succumbed to the gunfire unleashed by the assailant. According to police Lieutenant Jason Johansson, the shooting transpired at approximately 10 a.m. within a suite on the fifth floor of a building.

The setting for the tragic incident was a child custody case deposition involving seven individuals. “Three people representing each party and a court reporter” were present, Johansson disclosed during a subsequent news conference.

Johansson recounted the harrowing moment when the assailant, described as a man in his 70s, abruptly stood up and commenced firing at two individuals seated across from him. “It appears our two victims were the very specific targets,” Johansson conveyed to reporters.

Authorities have refrained from divulging any details regarding the relationship between the victims and the shooter, as well as the possible motive behind the shooting spree. However, Johansson assured that all children involved in the custody case were safe and accounted for.

Following the tragic event, investigators scoured through the shooter’s vehicle and executed a search warrant at his residence. Despite these efforts, the exact circumstances leading to the deadly altercation remain shrouded in mystery.

The community is left reeling from the senseless violence that unfolded within the confines of a legal setting. As investigations continue, the residents of Las Vegas and its surrounding areas grapple with the aftermath of this tragic incident.
