Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s time as manager of Manchester United could be about to come to an end as the Red Devils’ top hierarchy are reportedly sounding out to some top class coaches to take over from the embattled Norwegian.
United were battered 5-0 by fellow English Premier League challengers Liverpool on Sunday, their biggest defeat home or away in recent memory and there has been widespread call for the removal of the United legend Solskjaer who was a success as a former player but has not been same as a manager.
According to English tabloid, The Sun, former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, Antonio Conte who led Serie A giants Inter Milan to the title last season and had managed Chelsea in the Premier League and Ajax’s head coach Erik ten Hag including Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers are said to be in the running as the next United boss.
Chairmen Joel and Avram Glazer is said to have held crisis talks with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and managing director Richard Arnold as the shock of losing so pathetically to their bitter rivals continued to reverberate around the club.

Solskjaer spent two-and-a-half hours at the training ground around lunchtime after giving his squad and coaching staff the day off.
