Woman Struck With Madness, Goes Nude For Calling Prophet ‘Fake’ In Lagos Church

5 mins read

The biblical injunction of “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm” was witnessed first hand as worshippers at a Lagos-based church (name withheld) were stunned Tuesday evening when a middle aged woman became mad and stripped herself naked after she accused the prophet overseeing the church of being a fake man of God, reports Prime Business Africa.

The clergyman was prophecying to some members of the church and when it got to the turn of a lady standing beside the ‘doubting woman’, the latter began to distract the prophet with some inaudible words.

The man of God, loved by his members not just for his spiritual grace, but for his sense of humour, made to wave off the murmurings of the lady after asking what she was saying.

But what the woman said next left the congregation dumbfounded.

“I dey watch you since. I watch you from prison. I was in prison with a member of this church,” the woman whom it was discovered had a crime case and was imprisoned at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre said.

“Una just dey deceive unaselves, dey act film say una be pastors. I no believe wetin you dey do here,” the woman went on despite the best efforts of the ministers at the church and ushers to stop her from speaking against the prophet.

The congregation were in meltdown as some worshippers expressed shock at the boldness of the woman while her pidgin English and stubborn streak, also drew laughter.

“Make una leave am,” the prophet said soon afterwards.

He went on: “I like the way she spoke her mind. Because indeed there are so-called pastors and prophets that are fake and really act film.”

Turning to the recalcitrant woman who refused to accept that the prophet is not as bad as some have turned out to be, the man of God said:

“So you want to know if I am a fake pastor, right?”

The woman turned her nose at him and then uttered expletives aimed at the prophet.

The Prophet then asked that an anointing oil be circled around her. Initially the woman put up a brave mien but later started to go backwards.

“Woman why you come dey go back like that,” she was asked by the host minister.

“I know wetin you put there?” she retorted.

The oil was however spilled on the floor around her with the workers in the church ensuring that she could not leave.

Within few minutes after that, the woman started having painful sensations on her ears and itchy hairs. She scratched her hairs desperately and soon started shouting “fire.”

The Prophet asked if he should release her of the torture but most of the congregation objected and believe she got what she deserved.

The incident climaxed when she pulled off her clothes and was left with only a piece of inner wear. She was also wearing waist beads.

The woman overpowered the female workers of the church who at this point had brought out wrappers to prevent the worst from happening and in the full glare of the church went unclad.

Eventually her nakedness was covered with wrappers and she was taken out of the church building with a prayer from the prophet to restore her sanity.

With her sanity back, she was brought forward to the alter, but this time in a somber mood.

Worshippers or those who had come on appointments to see the minister of God were not allowed to take photos or video recordings of what had transpired.

Rather they were only asked to watch it on the social media platforms when it is posted.
