Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola, is under pressure after the team’s winless streak continued with a lone goal loss to Nottingham Forest on Saturday night.

City have lost back to back games lately against Real Madrid, Liverpool and Forest, and Guardiola has described the remaining 10 matches to the end of the premier league season as “10 finals” that will determine the season’s success including chances of getting a Champions slot for next season.

“We have 10 games to qualify for our goals, and we must secure victories as we prepare for each new challenge. We anticipated that this would be a tough game, and the Premier League’s competitive nature continues to elevate year by year.”

City occupy the fourth position on the log with 47 points behind Nottingham Forest, and should Chelsea who host Leicester City Sunday (today) win the encounter, as they have been tipped to do, Manchester City will be further knocked down to the fifth position, thus tightening the noose on the reigning league champions.

Callum Hudson-Odoi’s stunning late strike secured a remarkable 1-0 victory for Nottingham Forest over Manchester City, delivering a significant blow to Pep Guardiola’s aspirations for Champions League qualification.

With teams like Newcastle, Bournemouth, Brighton, Fulham, Aston Villa, and Chelsea lurking closely behind, the road ahead could prove to be a challenging one for Guardiola’s side.

Meanwhile, second placed Arsenal, will no doubt be thinking only about consolidation as they face Manchester United.

With a place in next season’s Champions League nearly in their grasp, Arsenal look to add three more points to their Premier League total on Sunday at Old Trafford against Manchester United, who are aiming to end the season on a high.

Arsenal’s last Premier League match resulted in a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest at The City Ground, leaving them in second place on 54 points with 11 matches remaining.

The Gunners trail first-placed Liverpool by 13 points and lead fifth-placed Chelsea by eight for a spot in the Champions League.

Manchester United are in 14th place on 33 points, having scored 33 goals and conceded 39. With 11 matches to play, United trail fifth-placed Chelsea by 13 points for a spot in the Europa League. Manchester United won their last Premier League match 3-2 at home against Ipswich Town, ending a three-match winless streak.

The previous Premier League fixture between the sides saw Arsenal come out on top 2-0 at Emirates Stadium in December. Jurriën Timber opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 54th minute. William Saliba also found the net.

Safe to say it will be an action packed Sunday. While Arsenal and Man United slug it out at the Old Trafford, Chelsea entertain relegation bound foxes who are yet to test victory five games and still counting. Spurs have a date with AFC Bournemouth at the Hotspur Stadium.
