Ace comedian, actor and producer Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY in the entertainment industry has offered his thoughts on why the 15th edition of the Headies Music Awards is holding in the city of Atlanta, USA and not back home in Nigeria.

Speaking to Hip TV on the Red carpet in an interview monitored by Prime Business Africa late Sunday evening at the ATL @ Cobbs Energy Performing Arts Centre venue, AY said its about the world  continuing to acknowledge the good work done in the entertainment industry by Nigerian stars.

“The Awards is still a Nigerian thing but it’s like saying why the ‘A. Y Live In New York’. I mean in few weeks time, I have a show in New York. We have to export our talents abroad.

“I tell you something. This is the 15th edition of the Headies and I have always been part of the past editions, attending each one and will be glad to be part of it any day, anytime,” AY told Hip TV.

“I mean the world today acknowledges the talent of Burna Boy and Wizkid. If they didn’t take their crafts abroad, they won’t be receiving the global recognition they have today,” AY stated.
