According to Abosede, her son lived in constant fear when it came to anything related to Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry. She unveiled the harrowing truth that Mohbad had intentionally withheld information from her, fearing that speaking out might put her life at risk.

“Whenever Mohbad was with me, he was always full of fear. He always mentioned Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, and he was always shaking.

I begged him several times to allow me to speak with them, but he refused, saying he didn’t want them to kill me,” Abosede revealed, her voice trembling with sorrow.

“Mohbad’s attempts to shield his mother from the ominous presence of Naira Marley did not stop at mere silence. He confided in her about a distressing incident where Naira Marley allegedly attacked him at a show that he had been coerced into attending.

“My son told us there was a show Naira Marley forced him to attend, which he declined because it was Sammy Larry who organized it. The last time he travelled for a show, after he came back, he mentioned to me that Naira Marley came to attack him. He reported the case to the police, but I don’t know if the police invited Naira Marley,” Abosede added.

The revelations made by Mohbad’s mother sent shockwaves through the community, prompting further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the young artist’s tragic death.

The Lagos State Police Command took swift action, exhuming his body from its resting place for a thorough autopsy. Naira Marley and Sammy returned to Nigeria, where they faced intense interrogation and were subsequently remanded to police custody for 21 days. Substantial evidence was also unearthed, linking them to the assault and cyberstalking of Mohbad.

The investigation later uncovered the shocking cause of Mohbad’s death. It was revealed that the artist had a fatal reaction to injections administered by an unlicensed nurse.

The injections, consisting of Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and an antibiotic known as Cetrazone, were administered intravenously, triggering immediate vomiting, goosebumps, convulsions, and ultimately leading to his untimely demise.
