NGF Chairman says Anambra Governor an asset

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has harped on the need for strong coalition across party divides to move the country forward.

Prof. Soludo stated this on Saturday April 30, while playing host to Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, Akwa.

Soludo also emphasized the dire need for development of human capital as foundation for nation building.

On his part, Governor Fayemi who came on a courtesy visit to the state, commended Soludo for the positive steps he has taken so far since assumption of office, describing him as a great asset to the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF).

The Ekiti State governor who is also the chairman of the NGF, congratulated Soludo for successful inauguration and membership of the forum, and noted that his friendship with him started when they were in academia.

Fayemi said he has been following with keen interest, activities in Anambra State embarked on by Soludo since he assumed office and expressed optimism that the governor will do well to put into action all he has promised during campaigns for development of the State.

He noted that Anambra has been relatively lucky with the progressive governors who have piloted the affairs of the state in the past.

Soludo expressed gratitude to the Ekiti governor for the visit and for his sterling leadership of the NGF since he came on board.

Fayemi Visits Anambra Governor Soludo

Writing on his Facebook wall, Soludo said Ekiti and Anambra share several similarities, especially in the area of human capital.

“Part of our strategic engagement as a Government is to forge good relations with other subnationals across the country.

“Ekiti is one State with great human resource capital, just like Anambra, this is one of our commonality. And we can only seek mutually benefitting ways of harnessing this priced heritage,” Soludo wrote.
