Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman started from the bench and made a great impact when he came on in Leicester City’s 2-1 defeat of PSV in the second leg of their UEFA Conference League fixture at the Philips Stadion, Eindhoven on Thursday evening reports Prime Business Africa.
Leicester City started with the same line-up that played out a scoreless draw in the first leg.
Kelechi Iheanacho was a starter for the Foxes but he was substituted in the 65th minute by Ayoze Perez while young goalkeeper Chituru Odunze was named on the subs’ bench by manager Brendan Rodgers.
However PSV could not call upon England U-21 international of Nigerian descent Chinonso Madueke who could not pass a late fitness test.
Lookman came off the bench in place of Harvey Barnes just a minute into the second half and was instrumental in the second goal scored by Ricardo Pereira with just two minutes to full time.
PSV will play in the final of the Dutch FA Cup against Ajax on Sunday, 17 April.
