The United States President, Donald Trump, has berated Israel and Iran for violating the ceasefire deal he announced on Monday.
Trump had on Monday announced that Israel and Iran agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire.”

Addressing newsmen at the White House shortly before departing for NATO Summit, Trump expressed frustration with both Israel and Iran, saying they have fought “for so long and so hard” that they do not know what they are doing.
The Israeli finance minister had earlier declared that “Tehran will tremble” after accusing Iran of firing missiles into its airspace despite the ceasefire agreement.
The Iranian state media quoted the country’s military denying firing missiles into Israel. However, sounds of explosions were heard across northern Israel in the morning, according to a report by Associated Press (AP). The AP report quoted an Israeli military official who said two Iranian missiles were intercepted.
Trump, who expressed his anger at both countries for violating the ceasefire agreement, insisted that it must hold.
He reportedly spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin about the deal.
With the U.S. president’s outburst, there appears to be a fragile ceasefire as both Israel and Iran have acknowledged that it is in place.
In a statement, Netanyahu’s office said Iran fired one missile at Israel after the ceasefire had come into effect. This, it said, forced the country to fire at Tehran in response but has “refrained from further attacks.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has assured that the country will adhere to the ceasefire, provided that Israel also upholds its terms, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.
IRNA reported that Pezeshkian, who stated this in a phone call with Malaysian Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, said that “if Israel does not violate the ceasefire, Iran will not violate it.”
“The Iranian people have once again shown that despite some problems and grievances, they will stand united and united against the enemy’s invasion until the end,” he added.
