Mixed reactions from fans of the celebrities have trailed their weight loss ordeal. While some congratulate them for taking steps to have a nice body shape, others are seen accusing them of using abnormal and extreme measures to achieve their goal.

A fan who commented on Anita’s post on Instagram, expressed love for her honesty, saying: “I watched the video on your weight loss challenge. Your honesty was so lovely to see. From speaking on how hard it was, to the people who supported you, to talking about getting surgery. Thank you for being authentic and real. Thank you for telling your truth with no filter. Health Implication Of Weight Loss

Overweight, also known as obesity, has a lot of adverse effects on health. Those who are obese suffer from diabetes and are also insulin resistant, which results in issues with blood sugar as it is needed to control it.

Other diseases follow, such as hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, and others.

With the hazardous effects, the idea of being overweight is not just an unpleasant sight but has a role in causing some critical ailments. Those who are obese go through such problems, and exercise might not be the immediate best solution.
Medical experts have advised that anyone with life-threatening obesity needs to have a gastric bypass, which seems to be the case with the celebrity, Anita Asuoha.

Celebrities now take delight in using different social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube to share their fitness journey, and this has led to the creation of hashtags such as #NaijaFit and #HealthyNaija, encouraging others to embark on their fitness journeys.

According to medical experts, healthy weight loss measures offer some positive benefits such as lowering the risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, depression, and control of blood pressure, among others.
