Transfer Update: Ajax Turns Down Manchester United’s €90m Offer For Antony

August 26, 2022

Ajax have rejected a latest offer of €90m from Manchester United for forward Antony Friday evening with time running out on the Red Devils to get a deal over the line.

Several English tabloids report Friday that the Dutch champions are reluctant to sell their prized asset which could mean United turning their attention to elsewhere with six days to the end of the transfer window.

Anthony however wishes to complete the move to United before September 1 when the window ends. Ajax are standing firm in their valuation and will not sell Antony for less than a record sale.

Meanwhile Ajax have been in talks with Chelsea over re-signing Hakim Ziyech, though they only want to take him on loan while the Blues prefer a sale.

Justin Kluivert who has been in discussions with Fulham, has emerged as an alternative.
