Tinubu Mourns Death Of Gov Soludo’s Father

Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, the father of the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has died after a protracted illness.

The patriarch of the Soludo family of Umueze, Isuofia community, in Anambra died early Monday at the age of 92.

The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, confirmed this in a statement on Monday, stating that further information will be released in due course.

“Pa Soludo is survived by seven sons, eight daughters-in-law, twenty-two grand-children and six great-grand children.

“Governor Soludo noted that his late father lived a fulfilled life and died at the ripe age of ninety-two years (92),” the statement read.

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has sympathised with Governor Soludo over the passing of his father.

He encouraged the Governor and the good people of Anambra State to take solace in the excellent legacy of the departed nonagenarian.

The President, in a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Monday night, described Pa Soludo as a dignified and charitable family man, who lived a fruitful life as exemplified in the achievements, personal quality, and sterling records of Governor Soludo.

“I pray the Almighty God grant your beloved father eternal rest. He lives through you still; in your sincerity, good works and deeds,” the President said
