Tinubu Honours Super Eagles Players, Coaches With National Awards

President gifts silver medallists at AFCON 2023 with lands, flats of houses in Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday honoured members of the Super Eagles with national honours for their splendid performance at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, reports Prime Business Africa.

The Eagles lost 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the tournament on Sunday evening.

The President also announced the gift of flats of houses and plot of land for each of the players and coaches in the Federal Capital Territory.

Each of the players and coaching crew were honoured with the national award of the Members of the Order of Niger (MON).

The reception for the team was held at the Council Chambers of the State House, as the players dorned an all-green attires.

The lands and flats in Abuja is expected to be facilitated immediately by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
