Tinubu Appoints Isa As SSA On Disability Matters

President Bola Tinubu has announce the appointment of Mr. Mohammed Abba Isa as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Disability Matters under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Abba Isa, an advocate for persons with disabilities, brings over a decade of experience in both local and international disability advocacy. His academic credentials include an honors degree in Public Administration from the University of Maiduguri and a Masters in Public Administration earned in 2017 from the same institution.

President Tinubu has charged Isa with the crucial task of actively fostering opportunities for inclusion. This involves integrating the perspectives and requirements of persons with disabilities into the policies and programs of all Federal Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.

Isa will also collaborate closely with sub-national authorities to establish a national consensus on disability-friendly policies and environmental conditions, in partnership with the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).

Speaking on the appointment, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, emphasized the administration’s commitment to ensuring that every segment of society is adequately represented within the Renewed Hope Agenda.
