Such vital skills will position the beneficiaries to take advantage of opportunities coming with the 4th industrial revolution mainly driven by the disruptive tendencies of AI in the world today.

Speaking at an event to mark his hundred days in office, Hon. Asogwa disclosed that the tech hub is already over seventy percent completed, adding that it would help to a significant extent in youth empowerment, especially in the area of ICT.

Highlighting the potential of ICT, the Nsukka LGA Mayor cited statistical data which said that in the next five years, ICT and AI will be generating over two to five trillion dollars globally, hence the need to tap into it by giving the youth the necessary empowerment. “It is very important that our people have a bite of this huge amount of money,” Asogwa emphasised.

The tech savvy LGA boss is one of those council chairpersons sworn in by the state Governor, Peter Mbah, recently.
