The stock market capitalisation increased by N278.49 billion on Monday, June 23, after the all-share index (ASI) appreciated by 0.37 percent at the end of trading.
According to data obtained from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), the market capitalisation grew to N74.81 trillion, from N74.53 trillion recorded on June 20.

Investors exchanged N653.65 million shares, worth N21,32 billion, in 22,206 deals, compared to Friday’s 522.81 million shares traded by investors in 17,706 deals, worth N19.68 billion.
Top five gainers
- Neimeth’s share price increased by N0.37 kobo to rise from N3.70 kobo to N4.07 per share.
- FTN Cocoa’s share value grew by N0.28 kobo, from N2.80 kobo to N3.08 per share.
- Presco ended trading at N1210 per share, from N1100 per share – indicating an increase of N110.
- Champion Breweries gained N0.82 kobo to end trading at N9.02, having opened with N8.20 kobo.
- Beta Glass’ share value was up by N27.60 kobo, after closing at N303.60 kobo from N276 per share.
Top five losers
- Julius Berger’s share price depreciated by N9.50 kobo, dwindling from N127 to N117.50 kobo per share.
- Chams recorded a N0.11 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N2.05 after opening with N2.16 kobo per share.
- NSLTECH lost 5 percent in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N0.57 kobo from N0.60 kobo per share.
- Multiverse reported a decline of N0.45 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N9.65 kobo to end trading at N9.20 kobo per share.
- Redstar Express recorded a N0.30 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N7.50 kobo after opening with N7.80 kobo per share.

- FTN Cocoa recorded 37.97 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N115.90 million.
- Access Holdings reported 37.93 million shares valued at N843.73 million exchanged in investors’ hands.
