He hinted of the impending treat via his X. The treat, according to the Omo baba olowo crony, is not only to put smiles on the faces of the orphanages but also ensure that young ones in the country avoid drugs like virus.

He disclosed that about N300 million will be spent on the birthday charity project this year about N100 million higher than what was spent last year.

“Once again my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m. Details to follow soon”, he wrote on X.

The said amount will be doled out through the Davido Adeleke Foundation (DAF). Recall that Davido, in 2022, established DAF to support vulnerable children nationwide.

“I founded the DAF in 2022 with a strong desire and passion to continually assist and create a proper framework for the ongoing charitable works to benefit the good people of Nigeria.

“Through this foundation, we have raised millions of naira and dispersed much-needed funds to hundreds of orphanages significantly improving the lives of countless children,” he had said during the floating of the foundation in 2022.

Last year, the foundation donated over N200 million to orphanages, impacting 13,818 children.

This will be the fourth consecutive year that Davido has made a significant donation on his birthday, in what has now become a tradition looked forward to, by the beneficiaries

Meanwhile if there is one person that is being tickled by Davido’s new song ‘Awuke’, it is Victor Osimhen German girlfriend Stefanie Ladewig.

The 23-year-old German influencer of Cameroonian descent recently shared her obsession with the song in a TikTok post.

“This song has me in a chokehold #davido #awuke,” showcasing her excitement over the track, which features Nigerian rising star YG Marley.

The upbeat single has been trending on digital streaming platforms and sparking debates among fans.  The single which was released on October 31st has so far Amassed over 9 Million Streams on Spotify still counting.
