Stage Collapse At Kano Swearing-In Ceremony, See Video

In a dramatic turn of events during the inauguration ceremony of Abba Kabir as the Governor of Kano State, the stage at the Sani Abacha Stadium suddenly collapsed.

Fortunately, amidst the chaos and confusion, it was reported that no injuries were sustained by the Governor, his Deputy, or the acting Chief Judge who were present on the podium.

This incident occurred just after Kabir, a prominent figure in the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), took his oath of office, succeeding Abdullahi Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that several youths had climbed onto the rooftop of the podium, leading to its structural failure.

While the collapse was undoubtedly a shocking occurrence, the swift response of the security personnel and the cooperation of those in attendance ensured that no harm befell the dignitaries present.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of stringent safety measures during public gatherings, especially those involving prominent political figures.

Governor Kabir, known for his close association with NNPP presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso, now assumes the responsibility of leading the North-West state.

As he embarks on his new role, it is crucial for him to prioritize the welfare and safety of the people, not only in terms of governance but also in ensuring their well-being during public events.
