The governor made the call during the second edition of the Anambra Youth Conference held over the weekend at the International Convention Centre, Awka.

Soludo, who noted that youths play pivotal role in building society, stated that his government is for the youth as reflected in the composition of his cabinet.

“The society must start asking people what they do for a living. I am encouraged when I see the youthpreneurs when I go around the state, putting in hard work to make a living, rather than looking for free money,” Soludo,

He admonished the youths to strive to be the positive change they seek, adding that his administration has lofty agenda for them.

“We have a huge agenda for our youths and we are determined to unveil all and have them take advantage of them,” Soludo declared.

He hinted that the ongoing youth empowerment scheme undertaken by his administration tagged “One Youth Two Skills” will at the end enable beneficiaries to get N2.5 billion to N3 billion and more as grants from the Anambra State Small Business Agency, (ASBA).

On his part, the state Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, noted that youth is a top priority in the solution agenda. He added that the “One Youth two Skills” empowerment Initiative is in full course.
