March 17, 2022

Anambra state’s new governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo was on Thursday morning sworn-in at the state government House, Agu-Awka reports Prime Business Africa.
Soludo was elected the state governor following his 6 November 2021 victory at the polls defeating PDP’s Valentine Ozigbo to the seat of power in Anambra.
The governor who contested under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) gave a speech after his oath of office by the State Chief judge, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu.
The event was witnessed by several dignitaries which the new governor admitted exceeded his expectations.
Out-gone governor, Chief Willie Obiano and his wife, Mrs Ebelechukwu, and all the 30 members of the Anambra State House of Assembly were present to witness the handing over ceremony.
Soludo who was a former Governor of the Central Bank inspected the guard of honour which was incidentally his first task as Governor of the State.
The guests were treated to a local delicacy popular in the Eastern region of Nigeria known as ‘Abacha’.
The governor is expected to be at Okpoko, near Onitsha for some hours before he moves to the state house and start his governorship role in the state.
