Saka, Rashford Make Premier League Player Of Month Award Nominees List

The nominees for the Premier League Player of the Month (POTM) award for January 2023 have been announced with Arsenal forward of Nigerian descent, Bukayo Saka leading the chase for the prize.

Some great games have been witnessed since the restart with Manchester City and Manchester United hot on the heels of Mikel Arteta’s impressive side.

The Premier League resumed on Boxing day (December 26) after the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with Arsenal still topping the table.

This season has been a great Renaissance of sorts for Marcus Rashford who has been simply electric since the World Cup. He’d also be a worthy winner and would possess an insane card in FIFA 23.

Riyad Mahrez who has been in scintillating form for current champions, Manchester City, has also been named.

Newcastle United’s defender, Daniel Burn has been a pillar for the new giants in the top-flight.

Solly March rose to the challenge of filling the vaccum left by Leandro Trossard who has left for Arsenal while youngster, Brennan Johnson has been in promising form for Nottingham Forest who will be without his Nigerian teammate, Taiwo Awoniyi for the foreseeable future due to injury.
