Two second-half goals by Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Marinelli were all Arsenal needed to cruise to a 2-0 win over Newcastle United at Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon to claim the fifth place in the table, reports Prime Business Africa.

Saka, named Budweisser ‘King of the Match’ opened the goals account with a delightful left footed finish  from Nuno Tevares who had a much more better game than in the defeat to Liverpool before the international break.

Substitute Gabriel Marinelli scored the second goal moments after his introduction from the bench with a sumptuous lob over Martin Dubravka.

The goals could have been more had captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang converted the chance he had from close range after the ball cam off the post from close range.

Newcastle United two penalty shouts albeit one of them looked a legitimate one while the first was an inadvertent handling of the ball in the box by Takehiro Tomiyasu who assisted Marinelli’s goal.

New mega rich Newcastle United are consequently still bottom of the table with only six points and remains the only side among the 92 clubs in the English football league not to have picked up a win this season.
