Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka, is hopeful that the 13-time Premier League winners will lift the title again after 21 years of drought.

Despite producing great academy products and buying world class players over the past two decades, the league title has continued to be elusive to the north Londoners.

On Arsenal’s league ambitions, the Hale End Academy graduate said: “We will be stronger,” the winger affirmed. “I have no doubts.”

Speaking about his game for club and country, Saka was certain that he will improve in many respects. “I think there’s a lot more [to come], percentage-wise, from my side,” he said.

“Each year I’ve developed and improved and I think I’ve still got a bit of a way to go. With all the games I’m playing, it’s only going to make me better.”

Saka was injured in March and left out of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Andorra as a precaution but is set to play under the new England manager Thomas Tuchel at the City Ground for the first time.

“I love coming to the England camps and playing for England,” Saka said. “It’s been a bit of a frustrating year but I’m here now. I’m really excited to play, so hopefully I’m in the starting XI.

“After the last game of the season I had a little strain. Fair play to England, they managed me quite well during the week.

“I was only able to do one or two sessions, so the manager made the decision he would leave me out and then have me involved tomorrow.”

The England versus Senegal game is one of several friendlies on Tuesday and will kick off at 8pm Nigerian time.
