Aside from her box office triumph, the film gets an A+ CinemaScore from audiences world wide. While some industry insiders projected a $22 million opening, AMC Theatres opted for a $21 million estimate until the weekend actuals are finalized.

While the film did extremely well in America, “Renaissance” struggled overseas, managing an estimated $6.4 million from 94 markets, falling considerably short of the anticipated $20 million.

In the U.K., it secured the fourth position, and in Australia, it claimed the sixth spot. “Renaissance” provided a much-needed boost for exhibitors, marking a 76 percent increase in domestic box office revenues for the Dec. 1-3 frame compared to the same period the previous year and a 7 percent rise over 2019.

In a move similar to Taylor Swift’s partnership with AMC, Beyoncé and her team opted to bypass Hollywood studios, choosing instead to collaborate with AMC Theatres for the distribution of “Renaissance.” The film chronicles Beyoncé’s recent world stage tour, offering audiences a glimpse behind the scenes, detailing the meticulous planning and execution of the spectacular concert.
