Real Madrid Sign Pre-contract With Palmerias For Endrick

December 15, 2022

Real Madrid on Thursday announced the signing of highly-rated Brazilian talent Endrick after a hard-fought race for the forward with Chelsea and some unnamed English Premier League clubs.

The La Liga giants announced that the talented 16-year-old star will join Los Blancos from Palmeiras in June 2024 when he turns 18 and will stay in Brazil until then.

Last month Chelsea invited Endrick and his family to the club’s training ground and was shown around by fellow Brazilian Thiago Silva in an attempt to persuade the 16-year-old to join the club.

However, Endrick has decided to join Real Madrid in two years and will hope to follow in the footsteps of the many Brazilian legends that lit up the Bernabeu over the years.

A breakdown of the financial details of Endrick’s deal reveals that the contract is worth €35 in fixed fee, €25m in add-ons which makes it €60m and €12m in extra money in taxes.

The youngster’s contract will begin in 2027 and terminate on 2030. For now, he will remain with his club on a loan agreement.

FIFA has given an approval of the contract taking place and relevant documents have been signed by both Real Madrid and Palmerias and also by the player.

Meanwhile Real Madrid stepped up their preparations for the return of the La Liga late December on Thursday with a friendly against Malaga.

Real Madrid’s decision to gun for the services of the 16 year-old talent from Brazil is also as a result of the aging Karim Benzema who is expected to have called time on his career by 2027 when the contract begins.

Real Madrid’s transfer policy have seen the Management beam their searchlight on youngsters whose ceiling would be high and have long term value.

Real Madrid could also be bidding bye to a player like Eden Hazard when his contract expires soon.
