The $8.1 million mansion of the Obamas won’t make the former United States president and his family miss the White House anytime soon.

Barack Obama left the White House in 2017, after completing two terms which started in 2009. He was the 44th president, handing over to Donald Trump. 

Eight years in the White House is enough to miss the comfort and ambience that comes with it, however, that won’t be happening to the Obamas.

They splash $8 million on a 1920s home located in DC, Kalorama district, to continue living the luxurious life enjoyed as President. 

The eight-bedroom mansion with 8,200-square-foot is equipped with a cinema room and a bar that tenders to the liquor needs of the Obamas. 

It also comes with a swimming pool that comes with a basketball net, a reminder of the former president’s love for the American sport. 

The mansion will also meet Michelle’s (wife of the former president) fashion taste, as it houses a separate dressing room.

During an interview on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Michelle said Obama was unlucky with the space he got in the house: “He doesn’t have enough closet space — sorry. He’s got the smallest room for his office.” 

The former first lady also stated: “And Sasha actually killed in this house — she has this two-room suite, it’s all decked out. She’s got a living room area and bedroom. She designed it. So he’s really hating on her.” 

Surprisingly, the house has a room of bunk beds, wonder who those are for, but considering the friendly personalities that the Obamas wear in public, their mansion will attract guests of different ages – so it will come in handy for grandchildren or nieces and nephews.
