PDP Set To Kick Off Campaign, As Atiku Arrives Uyo
Atiku was received by Akwa Ibom Governor, Emmanuel Udom in Uyo on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

All is set for the official kick off of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign as its candidate, Atiku Abubakar arrived Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital on Sunday night ahead of Monday, October 10, 2022, slated for the event.

Atiku in post on his official Twitter handle @atiku on Sunday night announced his arrival In Uyo for the campaign kick off on Monday, saying that he is very excited and eager to be in the state.

“Uyo, I’m excited to be here. Akwa Ibom, Dàkkàdà!” Atiku tweeted at 10:03 pm Sunday night.

On his arrival, Atiku was received by the chairman of the PDP presidential campaign council and Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom.

Also, his running mate, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta State, the campaign Director-General, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, and many other PDP chieftains were also seen to have arrived for the campaign kick off.

Earlier, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba who at a media briefing on Saturday, announced that the presidential campaign of the party kicks off on Monday in Uyo, stated that the party was ready to roll out issue-based campaigns in preparation for the 2023 polls.

Ologunagba claimed that Nigerians across board have accepted Atiku and were ready to vote him into power in 2023.

“Our Party is fully prepared for an issue-based campaign and our Presidential Candidate, H E. Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, H.E. Ifeanyi Okowa are fully ‘Articulated’ for the campaign.

“The PDP will take our campaign to all the States, Local Government Areas, Wards and Polling Units across the country under the Unified Campaign Structure as approved by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of our Party.

“Our Campaign will be people-driven and focused on PDP and H.E. Atiku Abubakar’s mission to Rescue, Rebuild and Redirect our nation from the abysmal misrule of the All Progressives Congress (APC),” Ologunagba said.

“From our consultations across the six geo-political zones of the country, it is clear that Nigerians across the board, irrespective of religion, ethnicity and even political affiliations accept the PDP Presidential Candidate, H.E. Atiku Abubakar as the best Candidate with the practical experience, capacity, broad-mindedness and willpower to Unite our nation, revamp our national economy, and guarantee the security of lives and property in our country,“ he added.
