PDP Obeys Court Order, Reinstates Kano State Exco

National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved reinstatement of the dissolved Executive Committee members of the Party in Kano State.

According to a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the decision followed an extensive deliberation with the party stakeholders coupled with the court order.

PDP in Kano State had been into some sort of controversy which led to division of camps with some loyal to former governor of the state. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The statement reads in party, “The Alhaji Shehu Sagagi-led Kano State Executive as well as all Excutive members of our Party at all levels in Kano State are hereby reinstated.

The PDP NWC dissolved the Sagagi-led executive council days before the defection of Kwankwaso to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

The also approved the Barr. Silas Oni as the authentic chairman of the party in Ebonyi State.

“Also in obedience to a similar Judgment of Court, the NWC has declared Barr. Silas Onu as the Ebonyi State Chairman of our great Party.

“All leaders, critical stakeholders, relevant agencies and our teeming members, particularly in Kano and Ebonyi States in the two states should please note,” Ologunagba further stated.
