PDP Candidate Ozigbo Votes In Amesi Central, Appeals For Elongation Of Voting Time

Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in today’s governorship election Valentine Ozigbo has appealed to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to elongate the election time so that the majority of the people are not disenfranchised.

Ozigbo showed up with his wife Mary-Callista Ojiugo at Amesi Central, at about 10:50am, to be accredited and vote.

The candidate’s wife was the first of the two to be captured and accredited after which she went on to vote. The process of accreditation for Valentine Ozigbo took about 20 minutes as he had issues with the card reader reading his finger prints.

This goes to corroborate what voters have been complaining about that the BVAS are either malfunctioning or too slow.

The PDP, candidate rounded off and left the Amesi central polling unit at about 11:10am

Meanwhile, long queues were evident as people waited peacefully for their turn to vote.
