The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) closed with N114.66 trillion market capitalisation on Thursday, February 12, from the N114.37 trillion reported on Wednesday, February 11.
According to the NGX data, the market valuation of the Nigerian bourse increased by N283.24 billion, as the all-share index (ASI) appreciated by 441.28 basis points.

The NGX recorded 698.34 million shares in 50,886 deals, worth N28.43 billion, compared to the 939.15 million shares exchanged by traders in 61,279 deals, worth N34.03 billion, the previous day.
Top five gainers
- Deao Capital’s share price increased by N0.79 kobo to rise from N7.90 kobo to N8.69 kobo per share.
- RT Briscoe’s share value grew by N1.44 kobo, from N14.40 kobo to N15.84 kobo per share.
- Seplat ended trading at N8,107 per share, from N7370 per share – indicating an increase of N737.
- LOTUSHAL15’s share appreciated by N26.13 kobo to end trading at N287.43 kobo, having opened with N261.30 kobo.
- ZICHI Agro’s share value was up by N0.89 kobo, after closing at N9.82 kobo from N8.93 kobo per share.
Top five losers
- Nahco’s share price depreciated by N16.45 kobo, dwindling from N164.90 kobo to N148.45 kobo per share.
- FGSUK2031S4 recorded a N9.93 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N90.99 kobo after opening with N100.93 kobo per share.
- Abbey Mortgage Bank lost N1.20 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N11.20 kobo from N12.40 kobo per share.
- Eterna recorded a N3.15 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N30 after opening with N33.15 kobo per share.
- May and Baker reported a decline of N4.10 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N44.60 kobo to end trading at N40.50 kobo per share.

- Access Holdings reported that 52.05 million shares valued at N1.24 billion were traded on its floor.
- Zenith Bank recorded 42.52 million shares valued at N1.47 billion.
- Chams saw investors trade 67.29 million of its shares valued at N3.31 billion.
- GTCO recorded 40.77 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N4.33 billion.
- Deap Capital reported that traders exchanged 34.41 million shares valued at N298.07 million.
