Osinbajo, Obi APC Congratulate Buhari At 80

Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, his wife, Dolapo, and the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi have conveyed message of felicitation to President Muhammadu Buhari on his 80th birthday.

President Buhari turned 80 on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

In statement personally signed by the Vice President, he extolled Buhari’s qualities of selflessness and forthrightness in his service to the nation both as an army officer, Head of State and civilian president.

“Happy birthday Mr President!

“Your extraordinary life of unblemished service to the nation in the army, as a Governor, Minister, Military Head of State and as two-term Civilian President demonstrates that it is possible to serve the nation and our people honestly, forthrightly and selflessly.

“Dolly and I, and the family wish you many more happy years in peace and good health in Jesus’ name. Amen,” Osinbajo stated.

On his part, Obi in a tweet on Saturday afternoon, wished Buhari many more years of healthy life.

“Mr. President @MBuhari, I rejoice with you as you turn 80 today. May God Almighty, grant you many more healthy, fruitful, and happy years; and continue to protect and bless you, and your family always. Happy birthday Mr President,” Obi wrote.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has also congratulated Buhari on his birthday, describing him as a man of destiny who has become a source of inspiration to many.

In a statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, the party thanked God for grnating Buhari the grace and wisdom to steer the ship of the nation to its present state despite the hurdles and rough times.

Morka said the president remains a model of discipline, integrity, resilience and patriotism and prayed God to grant him longer life.

The statement reads: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) felicitates with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), on the auspicious occasion of his 80th birthday.

“We heartily join millions of Nigerians – at home and in the Diaspora – in celebrating a man of destiny, who has steered the ship of state, courageously and sagaciously, from rough tides to safe harbour.

“No doubt, President Muhammadu Buhari’s sojourn on planet earth has been most fulfilling and impactful. He remains a source of great inspiration to many Nigerians, as a model of discipline, integrity, resilience and patriotism.

“As the leader of our great Party, President Buhari personifies the progressive ideals for which the Party is unique and incomparable, and continues to offer visionary leadership as we build a more vibrant future for all Nigerians.

“On behalf of all stakeholders of our great Party, we pray for long life and excellent health for our dear President as he leads our country and Party to even greater heights.”
