Olubadan Applauds Eze Ndigbo's 26-year Love, Peace Legacy

In a heartening gesture, Oba Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, extended warm congratulations to Dr. Alex Anozie on the occasion of his 26th anniversary as the Eze Ndigbo in Ibadanland, Oyo State.

The Olubadan’s message was not only one of celebration but also an encouragement for Dr. Anozie to continue his role as a promoter of love and peace.

In a letter addressed to Dr. Anozie, Oba Balogun emphasized the significance of the ongoing positive relationship between these ethnic groups. He urged the Igbo monarch to persist in his efforts to advance the unification and advancement of a united Nigeria.

“I bring you royal greetings from the palace as I felicitate you and the Igbo community, both in Ibadan and the entire Oyo State on your recent 26th anniversary as Eze Ndigbo, providing God-fearing leadership to your people,” Olubadan stated.

He lauded Dr. Anozie for his principled leadership, noting that the peaceful coexistence of both the Igbo and Yoruba people under his stewardship has been truly commendable.

Looking ahead, the Olubadan implored Dr. Anozie to continue embodying the values of compassion and tranquility, thereby sustaining his role as a harbinger of unity and progress within the larger Nigerian context.

The Olubadan expressed his sincere hope that the future holds enduring good health and extended years for Dr. Anozie, allowing him to continue guiding his people and enriching humanity through his innate wisdom and knowledge.

“As you march forward, I implore you to remain your good self as an apostle of love and peace and an advocate of unity and progress of one Nigeria, and it is my prayer that the Almighty God will grant you long life in good health to continue to lead your people as you have been doing and make more contributions to humanity through your God-given knowledge,” he said.
