Obiano Commiserates With Ex-Aide Nwokoye

Immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, has commiserated with the family of Sir Willie Nwokoye over the passing of their mother, late Mrs Felicia Ifeonu Nwokoye.

Nwokoye, who served as Principal Secretary to Obiano for eight years, buried his mother on Saturday in Amawbia.

The matriarch died at the age of 90.

Obiano, in company of friends and members of his team, paid condolences to the family of Nwokoye at the funeral service.

Speaking during the funeral mass, the former governor urged the family of Nwokoye to take heart and prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul.

Also present at the burial were Senator Victor Umeh. representing Anambra Central Senatorial District together with his wife, Lady Prisca Umeh.

Others are Member of Federal House of Representatives representing Awka North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Prof. Lilian Oby Orogbu; and Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye.

Umeh applauded the family of Nwokoye for their efforts in taking care of their mother’s health, especially in her old age.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and for divine consolation of the bereaved family.
